The new era of seawater tourism is about to start, a 14-story Italian cruise ship of 90s Costa Romantica, has arrived at Gadani Port Karachi, Pakistan. Pakistan is a very attractive country for tourism and full of natural landscapes which have been blessed with innumerable best places by nature.
In all this, very important and happy news for those who are interested in tourism is that now a new chapter is about to begin in the sea tourism of Pakistan.
New Choice Enterprises, Pakistan
The 14 story ship was bought by New Choice Enterprises, a Pakistani company, for dismantling. But seeing the good condition of this cruise ship as it has a license to use as a cruise ship till 2023, instead of breaking this cruise, it intends to use it for tourism in the territorial waters of Pakistan.
Costa Romantica, Italian cruise liner
The Italian cruise ship, Celestyal Experience or Costa Romantica is one of the largest cruise liners in the history of Pakistani ports and shipping that reached Gadani ship-breaking yard and should open a new era for tourism in Pakistan.
It was requested to anchor this cruise ship near Karachi Port Grand, but denied by authorities due to its huge and massive size.
As it has a license to use as a cruise ship till 2023, officials inspected it thoroughly and declared this multi-story ship can be used as a cruise for the next 10 to 15 years. And now in the process to use it as a cruise for tourism in the sea in Pakistani territory or updating it to a hotel.
The owner of New Choice Enterprises met the officials of Karachi Port Trust and expressed his desire to use the ship as a cruise for seawater tourism. On this, the chairman of Karachi Port Trust has assured that he will extend all possible help in this matter.
This cruise liner was built in Italy and was reusable in early 2012 by overhauling and reeling. According to experts, the current value of the ship could be estimated at 500 million dollars.
Celestyal Experience or Antares Experience made in 1993 by Fincantieri, Marghera, in Italy, has a capacity of more than 1500 passengers with more than 650 crew members. It has 3 big halls for gatherings with a seven-star hotel and more than 1400 lavish rooms. In addition to it, there is a gaming zone, shopping mall, swimming pool, and three ballrooms. Its length is 721 feet and 9 inches (220 m) in oa, and 596 feet 9 inches (181.9 m) in pp.
