Attabad lake located in the Hunza (northern areas) of Pakistan is known as the lake of all times. It has now become a tourist hot spot who are traveling to the Pak-China border from Hunza. It is providing a livelihood to many locals, as well as promotes tourism in the region.

The horrific disaster is always at the back of my mind every time I come to visit this place, the agony and immense pain the residents must have gone through, saddens me.
But it comforts my heart the most when it comes to my mind that this site has now become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Pakistan.
Attabad Karakoram Highway
The Karakoram highway also known as the Pak-China friendship highway originates from Hasan abdal. Leading its way right up to the 4693-meter Khunjerab pass and eventually becoming the China national highway.
It is 1300 kilometers long and has one of the highest paved roads in the world. It passes through some of the most spectacular and stunning mountain ranges and terrains to connect Pakistan and China. Due to this reason, it is also known as the eighth wonder of the world.
Attabad Lake Bridges and Tunnels
I will tell you about five tunnels called Pak-China friendship tunnels as well. The total length of these tunnels is seven kilometers.
Many precious Chinese and Pakistani lives were lost during the construction of the Karakoram highway. You will be able to see their resting places along the road at various places.
