located in Skardu called the chief of forts. It can be seen easily from Skardu city situated at the top of the mount.
Khaplu Fort
This fort was built in the 19th century, being used by the king of Khaplu as his residency. This fort is considered to be the best example of wood carving.
It was built with a special design to see Khaplu valley and the great Karakoram mountains from it. The centuries-old artifacts here are a reflection of Gilgit Baltistan's ancient culture and civilization. It is awarded UNESCO Asia Pacific heritage since 2013.
Shikhar Fort
is very famous as it is built on a very large stone. It has now been changed to a Hotel called Serena hotel for national and international tourists. There is a museum, built for tourist interest which has a large number of old things shows an ancient culture of Baltistan.
Waterfalls

Deosai National Park
Deosai National Park is another beautiful tourist destination in Gilgit Baltistan. Situated at the altitude of about 13,500 ft. is the world's second-highest plains with an area of about 3,000 sq. km. It is also called the home of wildlife.
Due to its altitude, it is covered with snow almost 9 months of the year. Thus this area offers a dream scene this season.
