When I visited there I didn't understand tourists from Lahore and Islamabad or nearing from these cities don't even know about this place. Everyone was shocked and amazed that it is really worth visiting or not.

Soon Valley, Sakesar A Complete Travel Guide

Everyone knows about Kallar-Kahar and its beauty but about Soon Sakesar valley, it is not much explored yet. Even it is near to Kallar-Kahar. All families who want a family picnic or get to gather for one day must visit this place. This place is really very adorable.

The people here are very hospitable. They are very down to earth, food prices are very nominal here, or you can get all foodstuff from your home as well because it is not very far from Lahore and Islamabad.

Soon Valley: A Cheap Place to Visit

Let me tell you one interesting story of mine that when visited this place I ordered which normally we order for food in any tourist place, like 1 kg of chicken (Karahi Gosht) Raita, Salad, etc. When I saw my ordered food I was really amazed that it was more than enough. I asked the manager if it is more than 1kg, he said no it is 1kg.

Then I realized that food infamous or commercial places are very costly as they don't give you the full amount of orders and prices are much expensive as compare to soon Skesar.

I will write two blogs on it as this place has enough potential to tell you about, which surely get you to this place as this place has immense beauty and has everything to plan one day trip here.

Places to Visit

Today, I'll tell you about 2 beautiful Khabeki lakes and the Kinhati Garden waterfall.

Travel Guide

How to get to this amazing and beautiful place is the main topic here. If you are traveling through motorway M-2, from Kallar Kahar Interchange, you'll turn left to Naushehra of Khushab.

Khabeki Lake

It is about 70km away but Khabeki lake is about 6km before Naushehra, on the road. You can also use Sargodha-Khushab road or Lilla Interchange.

2nd destination Khabeki lake is near Kinhati garden. It's the 2nd biggest lake of Soon Skesar. It is 1km wide and I'll tell you its length later. It is the family point. Khabeki lake is a family spot.

There is a TDCP resort. You can enjoy boating, cycling and spend the night here. But you have to book a TDCP resort in advance.

It is a marvelous viewpoint. Birds of about 50 kinds visit this place including migratory birds.

There are solid mountains on both sides of this lake and a strong wind blows here. Mountains make it a passage. You can see some families there as well.

As there is no drainage system and there are mountains on both sides, this is lower land and has become a lake.

Historic Overview

Let me tell you about some historic aspects. It's 4km long and 1km wide. As per land records, it came into existence naturally in 1894. The good thing is that it is more developed than Uchali lake which I will tell you about in my next blog.

Kanhatti Garden

Now I want to tell you is one of the greatest attractions of Soon Skesar valley, Kinhati Gardens Waterfall. From Khabeki lake, you'll travel from Naushehra road towards the motorway. Turn left after 6km. then it is about 10km, you will reach Kinhati Gardens.

As soon as you turn towards Kinhati Gardens, your world changes suddenly. You can't believe your eyes that how the scene can change so much so quickly.  You can see here how nature is kind to this region of land.

Lush green mountains and greenery all around you mesmerize you. Please take care while driving because turns are sharp and there are deep ditches as well. Drivers with automatic vehicles need to take much care.

These mountains are different from other mountains. Ancient fossils have been found on these mountains. Fossils are found here off and on even today. It is a very beautiful village. There are trees of banana and loquat.

There are 2 roads to reach Kinhati Garden Waterfall. The first one is to walk through the garden. It's a track to go to Kinhatt waterfall. The second one takes you through the village. I will suggest you pass through the village because it is beautiful and the road offers great scenery. You have to walk less.

Kinhati is a special rock. Here are so many different mountains that are why it is called Kinhati. There are basically two waterfalls one is a smaller waterfall and bathing is prohibited here. But some people used to take bathe here. It is 15 to 25 feet deep.

Small Forest

The bigger waterfall is 15 minutes walk away. A grass of 15 types is found here. There is a jungle on 3 sides and one side is populous from where you will enter. It is a big picnic spot in summer.

Best Time to Visit

I did not have enough courage to take bath, I only dip my feet in the water and cook food. I would recommend you to visit this place in summer right time at beginning of summer like April, May, June.

if you want to bathe here in green water, I would say water of seven colors. Or you should go there at end of August and September like if you want to see migrant birds here. It's about 50 kind of bird species who comes here.

I find it very different. One trip from Lahore, Islamabad, and places at 3,4 hours distance it is the best destination. Set off in the morning, explore this area, and return.
