Aryani, Historical & unique village of Swat
On the banks of river Swat, 2 km from Kalam. A beautiful and Unique "Aryani village" is one of the most historical villages in Tehsil Bahrain of Swat, Pakistan. In terms of tourism, Pakistan is the most beautiful country on the face of the earth.
It is famous for its mesmerizing beauty, it gives you a feel like lush green stairs in the mountains. Tourists coming from far and wide here are amazed to see nine tribes living here speak seven different languages in their houses and communities.

A unique village in Swat the Switzerland of Pakistan, where nine tribes have lived for centuries and whose inhabitants speak seven different languages in their respective tribes and homes.
But the biggest source of communication between them is Pashto. And they speak Urdu which is the national language of Pakistan to talk with tourists. History of Aryani village
Explaining the reason for naming the village Aryani, the elders of the village say that it was initially the word "Herani" (surprise or wonder) which later deteriorated to "Aryani".
The name "Herani" was given because Allah has blessed this area with such beauty that anyone who arrived here and saw the beautiful scenery was amazed.
But some elders also said that in the past this village was inhabited by people of "Aryan nation" and some of our tribes are their descendants. Due to which the name of this village has become Aryani from "Arya".
Whatever may be the reason for the unique name of this village, but due to its immense beauty and the ideal unity of the nine different nations and the inter-relationships among them, this village has now gained a unique place among the tourists.

This historic and very beautiful village is located at the banks of the Swat River at the foot of the high mountains of Swat. Tourists to Visit Swat can explore this unique and beautiful village on the way to Kalam by Madyan, Bahrain.
The village has been inhabited for centuries on the right, other banks of the river, with a temporary bridge of wooden planks and ropes as a way to reach it, which can only be reached beautiful Aryani village by crossing it.
Tribes and their languages
The village, with a population of about 6,000, is inhabited by twelve hundred families of nine tribes, namely, Mullah Khel, Gaowri, Torwali, Chitrali, Gujjar, Kashmiri, Millait, Dachuwa, and Khwar.
Seven different languages are spoken in these nine tribes which are Torawali, Gauri, Dachuai, Khorai, Kashmiri, Gojri, and Pashto. While the eighth language Urdu is also a read and understood language as I have mentioned above.

In this beautiful and historic village of Swat, the law of jirga is still prevalent today for resolving disputes, etc. in which the elders of the village come together and find a solution to any problem through mutual consultation and the parties have to abide by the implementation of their decision.
The villagers speak the language of their own tribes in their homes but prefer Pashto in jirgas, mosques, or conversations with each other.
Ancient mosque in historical Aryani village
There is also an ancient and historical mosque of more than two hundred and fifty years in this village which is telling the story of the greatness and history of this village.
That is why the inner hall of this historic mosque still exists in its original form. Only the pulpit of the mosque has been rebuilt in a new style with precious cedar wood. The old roof of the mosque has large wooden beams of precious cedar, which are at least fifty feet long and two and a half feet wide.
In the same way, the wooden pillars in the middle of the mosque are made of cedar wood on which the roof of the mosque is laid. The amazing thing about the construction of this mosque is that its old walls are six feet to eight feet wide.
If there is a problem in the village, all the tribal elders sit in this mosque or in the old jirga hall in the village and solve the problem by mutual understanding.
Every member of the jirga tries to take care of the self-esteem of the parties and make a decision that satisfies both parties. The tribes living in Aryani village for centuries have kept alive their traditions and set an example of national unity.
Although seven local languages are spoken here, including Pashto and Urdu, at the same time every inhabitant of Aryani village understands and speaks Urdu, the national language of Pakistan to some extent. And they talk to tourists in Urdu coming to Aryani village from other parts of the country.
Mingora to Aryani village
The culture, civilization, and language of this village are not only the reason for its uniqueness but also the unique everlasting, and beautiful tourist places of this village.
To reach and Soothe your eyes this village you have to go from Mingora, the central and largest city of Swat to Upper Areas like Kalam, Malam Jabba towards Madyan, and then from Bahrain on Kalam Road on the other side of the Swat River at right.
Pashmal on the west bank of the Swat River, and small plots of land at the foot of the mountain on the east bank, where a variety of vegetables and fruits are grown, including pears, apples, walnuts, peas, cabbage, potatoes.
There is a unique town of Aryani in these lush fields where about twelve hundred houses are also in these fields, like a staircase up to the foot of the mountain. Just above this village, one can see the beautiful view of the Hindu Kush mountain range, which is fragrant with the fragrance of cedar trees everywhere.
