Naltar valley is based on two valleys or villages known as Naltar Bala (upper Naltar) and Naltar Paain (lower Naltar). And distance between these two villages is 7km.

You must hire one of these as cars are highly un-recommended for this journey because of bumpy and uneven track. These jeeps are available at a rental cost of about PKR 4000 to 6000.

Naltar valley distance from Islamabad is about 560 km and it can be covered in 12 to 15 hours via Mansehra, Naran valley, Babusar top a viewpoint of two peaks, Chillas, Gilgit city.
